The Harry S. Truman Veterans Memorial Hospital provides a full
continuum of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings and is committed to
excellent patient care, education and research. The facility offers
comprehensive care including primary care, medical and surgical specialties,
behavioral health, physical and occupational therapy and pharmacy services.
In
addition, Truman VA is a referral center for heart care services including open
heart surgery. The hospital consists of 123 operating beds, and in 2010 the facilities 1325 employees provided service to 398,419 outpatient visits, 33,756 unique patients, and was accomplished with the help of 660 volunteers who contributed 57,569 volunteer hours.
