Since 1922, the Charles George Veteran Medical Center in Asheville has been improving the
health of the men and women who have so proudly served our nation.
The facility provides health care needs to more than 100,000 veterans living in a 19-county
area of Western North Carolina.
Additionally, the medical center is named in honor of Medal of Honor recipient and member
of the Cherokee Nation Charles George.
